LAUTEN CONSTRUCTION CO. was established in Loudoun County in 1987 as a carpentry subcontracting company. Since then, we have grown into a complete building and remodeling company, specializing in historic renovations.

We have a State of Virginia Class A contractor's License
(#2705 023989A), and we are fully insured for Liability and Workman's Compensation. We have many excellent references, available on request.

Robert Lauten, President, has been active in the construction industry in the Washington Metropolitan area and Northern Virginia since 1974. He has a BFA in fine arts, graduate work in architecture, and many years of hands on experience as a master carpenter and job foreman building new homes and remodeling in the area's most prestigious neighborhoods. He started his own company in 1987, shortly after moving with his family to Hillsboro. He and his wife Elsa currently live near Waterford, where he is Vice President of the Waterford Meadows Homeowners Association. In 2003, Robert earned the designation of Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR). This is an exclusive professional designation of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) for those who demonstrate exceptional business integrity, competence, a solid track record of customer satisfaction, and have met prescribed educational requirements. Rob is on the Board of Directors;of the DC Metro Chapter of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). He is a past President of the Purcellville Business and Professional Association and is currently serving as a Director of the PBPA, And finally, Robert is a member of the Loudoun County Rural Economic Development Council. 

When you call us, the first people you are likely to talk to are Donna and Nichelle. Donna Hall is our Office Manager, and Nichelle Marshall handles the accounting. They are the friendly voices on the telephone, and the meticulous record keepers who operate the fully computerized accounting and job costing systems.

Jim Canter is our production manager. He coordinates our operations on all job sites and keeps everything running smoothly. Mike Coe, Gregg Lane and Donald Smallwood are our Project Managers. They keep the jobs in order and running smoothly. Along with these gentlemen, we have a team of highly skilled individuals who are our lead carpenters, carpenters and helpers. Between them they have many years of experience, and you will never meet a nicer, more considerate, or more talented group.
